Lead Glass Drafter & Designer

This is an excellent career opportunity to fill an extremely vital role at a well established 20 year old company. Silver Mountain Glass is looking for a Lead Glass Drafter / Designer who can draft designs and renderings efficiently and fill vital responsibilities in getting residential glass jobs from the start of the job through build-out. You would work on a team of 8+ people, filling many leadership and managerial roles, with extreme potential for career growth.
You must live within 75 miles of Park City, Utah.
Location: 6400 Business Park Loop Rd, Suite F, Park City, UT 84098
Required:
- Efficient at drafting designs and renderings in any or all of: SketchUp, Fusion 360, Showers Online, or CAD
- Ability to read architectural blueprints and shop drawings
- Effectively draft renderings according to extreme specific job requirments and blueprints
- Comfortable pitching, and bidding jobs from start to finish based of design requirments
- Extremely self-motivated, organized, and efficient at job and customer management
- Valid driver license and reliable transportation to job sites and the Park City shop
- Ability to pass a background check
- Excellent customer service and strong problem-solving
- Live within 75 miles of Park City, Utah
Major Bonuses:
- Direct glass experience — custom showers, architectural glass, or a glass shop
- Sales experience, or experience managing jobs as they move through a pipeline.
The role
This is a lead glass drafter role. Your primary work is in the office: drafting designs, ordering from suppliers, and fulfilling orders for custom residential glass projects. You sometimes go on site when a job needs it — to learn the job, measure it, and get the details before you draft.
Responsibilities
Draft.
Prepare accurate renderings with custom glass and custom hardware.
Quote.
Answer quotes and prepare accurate estimates.
Run the pipeline.
Keep the pipeline current and follow up with customers without being asked.
Communicate with customers.
Talk with customers daily by phone and email.
Order and fulfill.
Order from suppliers and fulfill orders for custom residential glass projects.
Go on site.
Visit jobs to learn the scope, measure, and gather the details you need before drafting.
Track the work.
Track deliveries and remakes, oversee job costing and margin, and keep the team current on job status — in person and in our job management software.
